Permits in Richmond County
Anything in the public right of way — the sidewalk across your frontage and the driveway apron where it meets the street — needs a permit from Richmond County and an inspection afterwards. Usually yes. The join is visible because the two pours are different ages, so we plan it at a deliberate line. It costs far less than tearing out something only a few years old.
Does the HOA have a say?
In several of the newer communities here, yes — covenants can cover finish and colour. Worth checking before you commit to a pattern.
