Augusta Concrete Patios Stamped concrete is a texture pressed into fresh concrete with mats, and the finished look depends far more on the colour work than on the pattern. Free on-site quote, usually within two working days.

The slab is poured, floated, coloured, and then texture mats are pressed into it in sequence before it sets. It reads as stone, brick or plank at a fraction of the cost of the real material.
The colour is built in layers: an integral or broadcast base colour, then a release agent in a contrasting shade that catches in the low points of the texture. That contrast is what stops a stamped slab looking like grey rubber.
Stamped work is what most Augusta homeowners are actually asking for when they call about a patio, and in this humidity the sealer that holds the colour contrast is the part that needs keeping up.
There is a window of perhaps an hour where the concrete will take an impression and hold it, and the whole crew works to that window. It is why stamping is priced as skilled work.
Mats are advanced across the slab so the pattern lines up and the joints between mats disappear. Visible mat lines and a repeating obvious tile are the two marks of a rushed job.
Release agent goes down before the mats, both to stop them sticking and to deliver the secondary colour. Powder release gives more contrast, liquid release gives a cleaner single-colour effect.
Control joints still have to be cut. They can be hidden along a grout line in the pattern, which is the difference between a joint that reads as part of the design and one that cuts across a stone.
Stamped is the most expensive of the common finishes, and inside that range the variables are the number of colours, the number of patterns, and whether there is a contrasting border.
Stamped patios in Augusta run $12–$20 per square foot, with the number of colours and whether there is a border as the main variables.
A stamped slab needs resealing every two to three years. Left unsealed, the release colour washes out, the surface greys, and the whole thing loses the depth that was paid for.
Augusta humidity and heavy pollen dull an unsealed stamped slab faster than a dry climate would. Two to three years between reseals here is a real requirement.

Every two to three years outdoors. The sealer is what holds the colour contrast that makes it look like stone.
It can be, especially with a gloss sealer. Ask for a non-slip additive in the sealer on any surface that gets wet.
Not directly. It needs a stampable overlay, which works on a sound slab.
