Augusta Concrete Patios Replacing commercial flatwork is mostly a question about the base, not the slab. If the ground under it is why the old one failed, a new pour on the same base buys you three years instead of thirty. Free on-site quote, usually within two working days.

The decision starts with why it failed. Settlement, a saturated subgrade and a slab that was simply too thin for what now drives over it all look similar from above and need different fixes underneath.
Partial replacement is normal. Saw-cutting back to the nearest control joint and replacing panels is cheaper and faster than a full tear-out, and on a working site it usually beats the alternative.
Saw-cut full depth to the nearest joint so the new panel meets a clean vertical edge. Breaking out to a ragged line leaves a feather edge that will spall within a year.
The old base gets tested and re-compacted, not reused on faith. This is the step that gets skipped when a price looks too good, and it is the step that decides how long the new slab lasts.
Dowels tie the new panel to the old across the joint so the two move together under load. Without them the new panel steps at the joint and you have a trip hazard instead of a repair.
Work is phased around trading hours, and access for the breaker and the haul-off is planned before the first cut, because the demolition traffic is heavier than the pour.
Quoted per project, with demolition and haul-off itemised separately. Partial panel replacement is priced per panel; a full tear-out is priced by area and disposal volume.
Repouring over the same uncompacted base is the most common false economy on commercial work. The slab is rarely the thing that failed.
We cover Augusta, Columbia County and the South Carolina side of the CSRA, including and 34 more areas.
Usually not. If the failure is confined to panels, saw-cutting back to control joints and replacing those panels restores the surface at a fraction of the cost. A full replacement is for slabs that are failing across the base.
Seven days for vehicle traffic and three for foot traffic under normal conditions. Loaded delivery trucks wait the full 28 days, because that is when the mix reaches its design strength.
Most often the subgrade, not the concrete. A slab poured on ground that was never compacted, or that has been saturated since, will crack and settle regardless of how good the mix was.
